Bournemouth have lost more games than they have won at home, including their last two against Leyton Orient and MK Dons.
They will be anxious to avoid an unwanted hat-trick as they look to push towards the play-off zone.
Charlton have won their last two so, conversly, will be very keen to notch up a third straight win.
They will be backed by a huge following who will populate sections of both sides of the ground. With Dean Court being a three sided stadium, the game will feel almost like a home fixture for the visitors.
Local boy, Matt Tubbs, recently returned to his home town club for a big fee and would love to score in such a high profile match. Also anxious to prove a point will be ex-Addick, Simon Francis. Harry Arter is another who was formerly on Charlton’s books.
Two Bournemouth old boys, Danny Hollands and Rhoys Wiggins, return to their old stomping ground for the first time since their switch to The Valley. Former skipper, Hollands, is likely to get a far better reception from the home fans than Wiggins.
Michael Morrison had ice packs put on his leg when after he was substituted on Tuesday but will hopefully be fit enough to play. If he is, Powell will surely field an unchanged team. Charlton could start with this line-up:
Hamer; Solly, Taylor, Morrison, Wiggins; Green, Stephens, Hollands, Jackson; Kermorgant, Wright-Phillips.
Subs: Sullivan, Cort, Russell, Haynes, Clarke.
The referee will be Oliver Langford from the West Midlands.
Charlton will be full of confidence after their last two games and Powell will expect to get that record breaking thirteenth away win of the season.
